The Training and Certification for Highly Advanced Clinical Excellence: CBT for OCD certifications is an in-depth training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
CBT is an effective treatment for OCD, and by attending this comprehensive training programme delivered by experts in the field, participants will gain in-depth knowledge and clinical skills of how to understand and treat OCD. This new online training programme, directed by Professor Paul Salkovskis, aims to enable participants to achieve excellence in their clinical skills, and assess these skills via a rating of a full clinical session. This rating will be provided by the course team by viewing the recording in real time, via video call, with the certification participant.
The Training and Certification for Highly Advanced Clinical Excellence: CBT for OCD will be awarded to participants who complete eight workshops and who pass a rating of a full CBT treatment session (conducted in English) using a cognitive therapy rating scale. The eight workshops must include (1) CBT for OCD: Fundamentals (2) CBT for OCD: Advanced Skills and (3) Tailored Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for treating OCD for Neurodivergent Children and Adults, and five further days chosen from the programme.

The Training and Certification for Clinical Excellence: CBT for OCD and Training and Certification for Highly Advanced Clinical Excellence: CBT for OCD certifications are in-depth training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Please click here for the Training and Certification for Clinical Excellence: CBT for OCD course, which offers the three compulsory workshops with only two optional workshops (five workshops in total).
The individual workshops are available to attend as one-off training days and a certificate of CPD for the individual workshop(s) attended will be provided to those who attend outside of the OCD certification programmes.
In addition, the Highly Advanced level includes either an additional recording rating on the CTS-OC, or two one-hour supervision sessions, with the OCTC team, concurrently or after completion of the certification.
