Do any of these questions or statements ring true for you?
- I wish I could practice an intervention before doing it in therapy for real.
- It would be helpful to have a dress rehearsal so I could give my best performance.
- The convenience of online webinars is great, but I often leave without feeling more skilled.
- I’m not getting the most out of the in-between session task.
OCTC is delighted to introduce the CBT Skills Lab, a new approach to developing skills, refining interventions, and receiving expert feedback.
We are pleased to offer an opportunity to gain experiential learning and skills-based practice that is often absent from webinar-style teaching. This new online workshop is different: it is highly experiential, with a strong focus on practical skills as well as knowledge, and is delivered by an expert in the field.
Places for these experiential workshops will be allocated on a first come first served basis and limited to 14 participants only.
This is an opportunity to think about and reflect on the therapeutic use of letters in trauma work. We will consider how to approach and use letter writing to enable clients to process anger and loss. We will root this in the literature and reflect on when to use this approach in treatment. Like all practice labs, this will be an experiential process.
