Much CBT supervision is delivered to small or large groups. This workshop considers how best to combine what we know about good practice in supervision with our knowledge of group dynamics, thus maximizing the benefits of supervision within a group setting.
It will address:
· The basics of ‘good’ supervision ( a brief refresher)
· Similarities with, and differences from, individual supervision
· Learning within groups
· Group dynamics and leadership styles
· A range of frameworks for group supervision
· The challenges of group supervision
· Maximising the benefits of group supervision: developing the necessary supervisor skills
Attendees will take part in ‘live’ supervision. This means that the workshop will use experiential techniques and that attendees will be able to use their own case material within the workshop. Please only bring clinical material if your patient has given permission for you to receive supervision for their case.
