Technical Requirements

Recommended requirements for PC’s viewing OCTC video presentations / webcasts:

Windows XP or later
Windows Media Player version 9 or later
Internet Explorer version 6 or later
Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or later
Sound card and speakers switched on
Viewing on a Mac or using other browsers on a PC is possible but may not provide full functionality and is therefore not recommended by OCTC.

Troubleshooting

Please always remember to allow pop-ups from the OCTC website! When you can’t launch the presentation, it is probably the pop-up blocker which disables openning the content.
The easiest way to disable this security issue is clicking “tools” in the left upper corner of your Internet Explorer, then “pop-up blocker” and “turn it off”. If your viewings have been deducted, please contact Adrian on octcsupport@obmh.nhs.uk or 01865782110 and he will reset the counter for you.

If a green box is displayed instead of the video (or any other colour) then reduce the graphics card hardware acceleration by using this method:

Select ‘Display Properties’, either from the control panel or by right clicking on the desktop and selecting ‘properties’
Select the ‘Settings’ tab
Select the ‘Advanced’ button
Select the ‘Troubleshoot’ tab and drag the sliding bar towards ‘none’ (one click at a time and select apply) until the video appears, if it does not appear then the graphics card may not be compatible with the projector.
The process above may differ slightly with different versions of windows.
