Online Training Account Panel updated

We have now updated the order in which presentations appear in your account panels. This was an issue particularly for full access users with almost 50 presentations on the list. Now your presentations list will reflect the order from the main Online Training Library webpage.

Expired Accounts error - now fixed!

The technical error which caused a number of subscriptions to expire has now been fixed. All OBMH accounts and regular subscriptions with up-to-date credit card details have now been re-activated.

The 2010-11 ACTS Diploma and 2011-12 ACTS MSc has been postponed

Free Webcast and Podcast with Dr. Mark Williams

The interview with Dr. Mark Williams was on 10th November at 1:00 pm GMT

It was OCTC’s first live webcast and featured an interview on mindfulness, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), with Mark Williams, Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Oxford, and Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow. MBCT combines a form of Eastern meditation with elements of cognitive therapy. Mark's research focuses on understanding the psychological processes that underlie depression and suicidal behaviour, and the development of new psychological treatments. Together with Zindel Segal & John Teasdale, he developed MBCT as an intervention to reduce the risk of relapse in patients who have suffered several episodes of depression, and his team’s current research programme includes studies of whether MBCT may help with suicidal ideas in vulnerable patients.

I thought that the supervision was great, really thorough and structured to ensure that I got all the issues that I wanted covered and more. I left feeling really positive about moving forward on a case also was given the reassurance that I was headed in the right direction, hence boosting my confidence at the same time.
I loved the ease of doing it in my own home saveing on travel time and costs. The ability to see who you were talking to personalised it as well.
The supervisor was obviously extremely experienced and knowledgeable and I really felt I was talking to an an expert. I had confidence in her ability to guide me.

I looked carefully at a lot of different online courses and chose this one because of the experience and credentials of the trainers and centre. It's a fantastic resource for someone like me, located in Germany. I am working through the basic bundle and so far all of the presentations have been excellent - the theory is clearly explained and illustrated with client interviews, the quality of the films is excellent and it's really interesting (and surprisingly enjoyable!). I really recommend the training library!
