COMPETENCIES MODEL FOR CBT FOR DEPRESSION & ANXIETY DISORDERS:
TRANSFORMING THEORY INTO PRACTICE
Joy McGuire
7th February 2011
The Competencies Model for CBT for Depression & Anxiety Disorders developed by Roth & Pilling, 2007, is already having an enormous influence on the training and continued professional development for clinicians who work in a Cognitive Behavioural way. The IAPT training course curriculum was developed with this at the heart and BABCP have reviewed their criteria for accreditation in response to it.
This workshop will provide an opportunity for aspiring and established CBT therapists to become familiar with the model and to consider the implications for them on their own:
• Clinical Practice
• Continued Professional Development
• Clinical Supervision
• Accreditation as a CBT Therapist, Trainer or Supervisor
The workshop will be interactive and provide opportunity for sharing of ideas and experiences.
